(Kangei, "warm welcome")
How can that be?!!!
Let’s gather together our classmates and schoolmates for an ASIJ Cluster Reunion and find out how we all got here … five decades later! The Class of ’74 chose Chicago as our reunion city and your reunion organizers have been hard at work to make it happen.
Dozo yoroshiku!
Where We’ll Gather
The wonderful LondonHouse near the River Walk in the heart of Chicago is our Reunion Central. It was chosen for its proximity to so many nearby attractions and for its Top 5 ranking. (We were fortunate to book LondonHouse even though there is already a large convention — 40,000+ restaurateurs! — in town the same weekend.)
LondonHouse, on the Chicago River, will be our Reunion Central.
LondonHouse is on Wacker Drive across from the Riverwalk downtown. To its north is the city’s famed Magnificent Mile. To the east is the Lake Michigan lakefront and Navy Pier. To the south and west are the Chicago Loop and nearby Millennium Park, Art Institute of Chicago, Merchandise Mart and the restaurants of West Randolph Street.
We’ll be at the center of it all, with much of what the city has to offer just a short walk, Chicago L hop, or rideshare away.

The above list of self-organized activities was curated by our Chicago host and classmate Susan Schlegel (’74), and highlights nearby museums and galleries, numerous Chicago landmarks, plenty of notable restaurants, and a schedule of local sporting events (when team schedules are made available):
As a fun group activity, and to start your planning, Susan highly recommends the Chicago River Architecture Boat Tour — voted the #1 boat tour in the U.S. by USA Today — a 90-minute cruise along the Chicago River that “reveals fascinating stories behind Chicago’s majestic buildings in a way no other tour can.” Embarkation is across from LondonHouse on the Riverwalk.
